What Shotium is

Shotium turns URLs into images. Real Chromium renders pixel-perfect screenshots; typed templates produce 1200×630 social cards; HMAC-signed URLs go straight into public HTML without exposing a key. The pitch fits in one sentence — a single GET request instead of a headless-browser pipeline you babysit yourself.

How it's run

The operation is deliberately small. A tuned 2-core ARM box does the rendering; billing is honest by design (failed renders never bill); every fetch passes a production SSRF guard; uptime claims come with receipts on a public status page and a dated changelog. And when something breaks, the engineering blog names the real cause. Honest beats polished.

Who builds it

A team of one, currently: shery — founder and engineer, responsible for everything from the rendering pipeline to this sentence. The open-source ecosystem around the API lives at github.com/shotium: the n8n community node, the status page frontend, and whatever ships next.
